Halo 3: ODST returns players to familiar ground on a vital, top-secret mission. The gripping story, cooperative campaign and new multiplayer content will have Halo fans "Preparing to Drop" in Fall 2009. Originally titled Halo 3: Recon, the new game brings the perspective of new characters to the Human-Covenant struggle, as it explores the ODST, or Orbital Drop Shock Troopers.

It's basically a campaign/ single-player expansion for Halo 3. There is no online matchmaking which is a real let-down (you get the full Halo 3 online experience on a separate disk, but if you already own Halo 3 there is really no point for the second disk) and firefight may be fun at first but once you reach the 200000 score and get the achievement for a firefight map there is just not much incentive to keep playing.
